Kohler stator ID
Here what I found on kohler stators. Someone may want to add it to the tech library , it may help someone else.
The 15 amp stator have 18 posts, but only 16 are used (wrapped with wire) and has 2 wire leads (or connectors). The 25 amp stator have 18 posts, all of them are used and have 2 wire leads. The 30 amp stator have 12 posts, which are wrapped heavily with wire and have 4 wire leads.

Found this info on a garden tractor puller site, may have been Brian millers site. Searched forever to find this info. Does appear my stator on the k321 is 30amp so now looking for a 15amp or gong to take one off another engine for now and switch flywheels .

I think Cubs with Kohler engines all used the same 15 amp 2-wire stator beginning with the Quietlines. makes it easy to find used ones.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
