Today's shop time.
I went out to the shop today to get my GT2554 ready for snow duty.I removed the deck and put it in storage. Next the bumper was moved to the rear and weights hung on it. I then mounted the blower and did some tightening and lubing to get everything moving smoothly. Next job was to straighten the chute crank which was bent when I bought it last year. Chains were put on the rear tires and the blower set for cut height and side to side leveling. After a test run it is ready for duty. Now I have to change the oil & filter and put in a headlight fuse to finish it off.

When I came into the house I went to Amazon and ordered 2 oil filters and some 1156 led headlight bulbs to see if they are brighter than the stock ones. Always more to do. |

Sounds like a fine day in the shop. And you are ready for snow.
I am ready for snow as well except mentally. Pretty much had my fill of it for one life. Thanks for the pics. Ken |

I installed the led headlight bulbs today. What a difference.! And the price was right; 10 bulbs from Amazon for $13 including tax. Also put a new fuse in the GT2554 for the headlights. Now I am awaiting the oil filters which are due on Friday.

Too busy Oz. It is 30ft by 60ft and I would be hard pressed at the moment to get my truck inside out of the weather. I have some industrial racking that I intend to make into a mezzanine over the winter.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
