Need advise on my 124
Four years ago I got my first cub, a 124 w/creeper in a trade for a shotgun I wasn't using anymore. It also came with a parts tractor. I kinda fell in love with this little beast, and I did some dirt plowing and just hauling around a trailer. A few years ago I picked up a mowing deck and mule drive, but never got around to hooking it up. I also acquired a hydraulic lift and a chipper along the way, but thats besides the point...
So now I need to put this girl into service as a mower for awhile. I hooked up, started, and engaged the deck and all was running fine. As soon as I hit the grass, the blades stopped spinning. The PTO pulley was spinning just fine, but not the belt. Stopped the machine and noticed the belt seemed a bit loose. I've got it adjusted as tight as I can go, but it appears to be old and worn. I'm hoping this is the only problem. Can anyone tell me what size this belt should be? I'm afraid to even try to measure it, as it seems stretched out. Thanks for the help! Ken

Not positive but I would look here:http://ccmanuals.info/pdf/QA%2038-42...20Manual-1.pdf operator manual for early IH 38-42-48 deck. For the "later" deck check the resource page for the implement manuals. This site has all that info. I just ordered a 3/8" x 81"Cub Cadet IH-473462-R4
