Well I have 2 issues, 1st the Haban deck 60" and them the motor/govoner.
The deck appears to be bent but not sure where and the motor does not respond to a load and when it does it runs outta control. I have followed the settings found doing searches on here for the 18 magnum and no luck, I am not sure if there is internal damage or not. I bought this used a couple of months ago for $600.00 thinking there can't be to much wrong but I believe this thing is possesed by it's former owner who was the original purchaser and passed away.

Can you get pictures of the deck? Also, have you made sure the engine has good oil and plugs?

Sounds like you have a governor problem with the engine. Look in the Kohler engine section for threads about governor problems. Here is one thread.

Need some more info on the deck problem before I can offer a guess. Pics would help.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
