Default 1210 rebirth. (1282 tribute.LOL!!!)

Last summer my 1210 had caught on fire. It burned the paint on the hood pretty bad and melted lot of wires and the decals. I got discouraged when I got it fixed and running again, because I couldn't find any decals for the 1210. I tossed the ideas around and on a previous post here, I found out that the 1210 and the 1282 were extremely similar except for the red vs. yellow /white paint scheme. I didn't want to desicrate the red series by making it a red one, so I used a 1282 decal set and painted it just like the red series only I used glos black. Tell me what you think?

Before picture....(I didn't have one after it burned.)

That looks awesome. The gloss looks perfect with that 1282. Reminds me of what a demonstrator version would look like kind of like the big farm tractors.

O boy!
here it comes...
I thought these were suppose to be yellow and white? I see a little yellow on it though...
Nice and shiny though.

BTW the decal kit for the hood is still available.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
