682 PTO switch wiring question
I have looked high and low for how to wire the PTO switch. The tractor it came from happens to have a wiring harness that had the factory ends replaced with blade connectors, and I'm trying to custom wire everything in my "149 682 782 1641" project tractor, but all the wiring diagrams I found don't explain what pin is what on the switch. The switch looks like this:
s-l500.jpg The wiring diagrams I've found are not anatomically correct as far as pin position, to show which pins go to which wires. They have letters on the diagrams, but the switch has no markings at all, except one copper pin. I didn't think to take a picture of the wires before I disassembled it to move the dash over to the 1641 frame.

(A) Who made, or what make of PTO Switch, is that (ie: Indak, etc)...??
(B) Is their an OEM part number affixed to that PTO Switch..??

It's an Indak. I did not see any identifying number or anything on the switch. All I know for sure is it was in the 682.

You are 100% sure it is a 682/782 PTO Switch...???
Snap a picture of the back of the switch for a better view and post it here.

No, I'm not 100% sure... that could be why the wiring harness was hacked with blade connectors. It looks just like the one I have in my Jacobsen.
I'm not at home to take a picture of the actual switch, but the photo I posted in the initial post is exactly like it (it was a webfind). It has the two pins at one end, and then three pins at the other. I can post a picture of mine tonight, but it will look exactly the same (only dirtier). FWIW ... Partstree shows it as Cub Cadet 925-0893 and it looks the same as mine.

OK. I am going to go with the assumption it is a 682/782 (725-0893) PTO Switch. Give me a few minutes and I'll post the data.

Does this switch have a "spring loaded" ....."start position"....???

Is that where you have to pull it out to push it up to turn the PTO on and then it stays in the middle? If so, yes.
