Seat suspension kit for cc tank????
Does anyone have pics they wouldn't mind posting of the seat kit for the tank series? This thing is killing my back and am considering purchasing this kit, but at $300.00, I would sure like to hear from someone who has this on their machine or possibly some pictures. I added some weights to the front axle and that helped some but its still a very rough ride though, otherwise its a fantastic machine. Thanks for any help and advice.

I purchased the seat suspension kit from my local cc dealer and just thought I would respond to my own post.If you guys purchase a zero turn mowed and don't purchase the seat kit,you are doing your back a real injustice. Those thing are the best accessory you could possibly get for your mower. Two giant thumbs up and five stars, now I can mow my grass at a reasonable speed.A little bit pricey but worth every penny!!!!!!!!

Still works great and still worth the money spent. It will never smooth out the ride completely but the difference between the factory setup and the suspension seat is a definate improvement.

Thanks. I was on another forum where a guy said cub sells something to take the existing black seat and convert that seat into a suspension seat for around $200.
Take a look here and let me know if you have any thoughts? http://www.lawnsite.com/showthread.p...09#post5247409 |

I couldnt get it to show pics of it but it sounds like what I have except a $100.00 less. Its called seat suspension kit and sold by Cub Cadet.I will try to get ya some pics of mine later on today.A real spine saver for sure.I also am running fluid in the rear tires and it helps also.My yard is no golf coarse by any stretch, it consist of clumps of grass, weeds and dips.I call it country grass (lol). But I mow 2+ acres in an hour and fifteen minutes and thats around the house and trees and bushes. Before the seat and fluid upgrade it would take a little over 2 hours to cut it.An improvement for sure.

Here are a couple of pics of the seat kit.The springs are for adding or removing stiffness of the ride. One other thing to consider for your machine is an electric deck lift.Sure makes changing the deck height a breeze and with a yard like mine it was also money well spent.I also added the factory light kit.Wow, talk about some bright lights. They do however attract a ton of bugs so using them does have its drawbacks.

Very cool. Is that tank still a wide track model?

I'm also assuming the suspension seat will help you make straighter lines?

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
