Cub Cadet category 0 implements!
I just bought me a Cub Cadet L42 190-349-100 rear PTO 2000 RPM brush hog for the cat 0 on my 2072. I found it on tractorhouse of all places. I just called and bought it. I'm going to try and go down next Saturday and pick her up. I'll also be picking up a rear PTO setup for the 2072 and a 48" rear PTO powered rototiller for the tractor as well! ill put up some photos as soon as i can.
Anyone know anything about the cub cadet brush hogs? I can't find much info.

Not made of money. Just happened to have it at the right time! Lol found a guy on Facebook looking to sell his tiller...so I asked about the PTO too...he said he'd sell that as well. Very nice 982 he was selling so he is selling me the tiller and PTO. I was looking on Google at photos of the bush hog, I clicked on one and saw it was on tractor house. Checked it, called and immediately bought it. Luckily for me the mower and tiller/PTO are only two hours apart!

Great find Shaner! Those don't come up for sale very often. I have the owners manual in PDF that I got from another member on here if you need it. I found mine on CL a few years ago and missed another one that was on the green site 2 years ago. Her are a few pics of mine. The yellow chains are not correct and are too short in the pics.

982 brush hog
I have a 982 and I do have the brush hog also. I have never seen another one or even a picture of one. My 982 doesn't have the rear pto, but I do have the 3 point setup. I would consider selling the brush hog, and I do have the pto drive
shaft for the 982. |

I realize you are a newbie. BUT, items for sale need to be placed in the For Sale Section.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
