Help identify this tractor!
Alright guys, I have an opportunity to buy this tractor for virtually nothing, but I can't figure out what it is. The lady says the paint is rubbed off of the hood, and she can't figure what model it is, and the info she gave me doesn't add up (atleast according to my research). She says it has a 16 horse Kohler Magnum. and the serial number is 251079, but from what I found online, that can't be right. She says someone told her it was built in the late 70's to early 80's, but who knows. I haven't seen the thing yet. She did send this picture (sorry, I know it sucks). I'm buying it either way, needs some work, but it's a great deal. Just wondering what I'm getting.

I thought about the vertical shafts, but are there vertical shaft "magnums"?
She did say that the model number was 16-something, but that didn't really get me anywhere. Thanks! If anyone can help me out with a possible model number, that'd be great.

T-Mo is correct.
1615 or 1620 probably. Similar design to my 1015 lawn tractor. The model would have been on decals on the side of the hood, not painted on. 1615 if gear-driven, 1620 if hydro.

I just looked at one of those along the highway, I belive it was a 1430. once I realized it was a lawn mower with no price written on it I just moved on.

Sorry to thread-jack... but CMA's129, you're from DuBois? I grew up in Brookville and now live in Corsica. Don't think I've ever seen anyone on any of the forums I frequent who lives so close.

Whats up neighbor! the 1430 I'm talking about is in Summerville soon as you get into the 35mph up on a high bank on the right. Almost right across from where that guy dresses up the mannequins and puts them in the phone both in front of his house.

Yeah. He changes her clothes quite frequently too, and seasonally. When I went buy a couple of days ago she was wearing a black spandex dress with neon green lighting bolts on it. Get your snow blades ready soon she'll have her santa suit on.

LOL yeah, it's pretty epic. I drive right through there every day on my way to work when I take that route (I work in Punxsutawney). Never noticed the Cub before though. I'll have to check it out some time.
