Cyclopse plastic
Could be beating a dead horse, but guys, Is it at all feasible or even possible to have the cyclops plastic reproduced? There are alot of good tractors out there with missing or poor plastic, and the good plastic supply will dry up eventually. This will, Imo, effectively all but kill one of the best garden tractor series aver built.
Its something i have thought about off and on the last few months. The plastic thats out there is it... which means junk is priced as decent, the decent stuff goes for immaculate price and immaculate stuff goes for somewhere around an arm, leg and left nut. The thread where the guy is trying to convert a 2182 into a 1772 gasser got my wheels going when PeterJ said they could do a fuel tank. SURE, there are differences, There has to be a way, there has to be a resource, there has to be alot of interest, and I cant be the only one who feels this way! P.s. not demeaning the guys whom have tried other avenues but having a bolt and go oem look is what i want when it comes to body styling. need feedback, dont kno alot about plastic molding blabla

You can still buy new plastic from cub and there was a thread on here where someone was having the side panels reproduced.

I bet oems were injection molded that would be a very expensive process but it would be a complete part and the color would be impregnated into the plastic, that would be best. I worked at a shop that did vacume forming it's a fairly simple process. I'm not sure hoe to do the studs, you may have to do somthing special there.I wonder about getting the plastic that is the right color.
