Default Oil in the roto hoe?

I have a Cub 127 and use the roto hoe attachment. A while back I saw a manual for the roto hoe and thought it said there is an oil bath for the chain. So I went to look and can't see where to fill the oil. Does anybody have a link to the manual or know if there is supposed to be oil inside the case and where the fill is?

I am "assuming" you have the IH built tiller (Roto Hoe). With that in mind, here is a link to the Owner's Manual...... Tiller

Grease.
When I overhauled and rebuilt mine several years back I packed the gear case with wheel bearing grease.
Works fine ever since.
Installed all new chains and bearings.

I filled mine with JD Cornhead Grease, five tubes, I think.

I also welded a pipe bung on top to check and replenish the lube. On a hot day of tilling it does weep some lube.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
