1650 w/ 16hp twin Briggs
Today I just picked up a 16hp Twin Briggs and Stratton Engine at a flea market the guy I bought it off of said it was out of a cub cadet. I am going to put in a stretched frame 1650 project that I have been working on. I wasn't sure which end it drives off of. on one end there is a shaft and the other side there isn't. I am not real familiar with these engine, any help would be greatly appreciated. Will post pic.

Yes, but you will probably have to have one made. But that depends on what Cub that engine came out of..... if it did come out of a cub. Pics and model numbers of the engine would help.

Yeah, it looks like it was off of a CC. I think your going to find it pretty tough to fit that into a WF Cub though. Spread frame, sure drop it it. WF...... you will have to basically make it a spread frame as not to lose frame rigidity.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
