Default Led lights

What is your choice for the leds to replace the par36 and the tail light bulbs? Are you happy with them?

Default PAR36 LEDs

I bought LEDs on Amazon a couple years ago. At the time there were only a few choices. I ended up with a pair of "warm" color, probably 3000K and not all that bright. That said, they throw more light than the old incandescents while drawing fewer amps.

Today there are a LOT of choices. I'd buy a pair with 5000K color (daylight white) and the most lumens I can get.

I think switching to LEDs is a no-brainer. I have been changing out every incandescent on everything I own. I'm irritated that my 2021 F150 still has incandescent tail lights lights.

Nice find they are cheap enough and the info given seems l these will be worth a try. I agree leds are a no brainer I switched everything including the house

I have not had much luck with 12 volt led's. I bought some on Amazon last Spring for the taillights/brakelights on my classic car. I could not tell the difference in brightness when I stepped on the brake pedal so, I sent them back. Not the first time I've had to do this.

I had the same experience on a 2010 Ford Edge, plus the turn signals flashed erratically.

I agree that the switch to LED is a no-brainer. I do it to just about everything I own. They look so much better IMO.

The sealed beam led replacements on my 1450 have great output, bought them on amazon. Definitely notice the difference on the ammeter when you turn them on verses the incandescents!
Just keep in mind that they don't put out heat so they wont autodefrost if they get snow on them, but if you shouldn't be out if the weather is that bad!
I had to replace the plug in sockets in the taillights with ones from new taillights because the little contacts were so corroded. I swapped out little red led replacements for those all glass push in bulbs and the wierd thin gi noticed is even when the light switch is off the rear lights pulse dimly to the ignition coil firing. Somehow the interference is travelling on the floating wire and providing a little bit of current to the leds.

Its surprising the amp difference, I noticed a big drop in amps when I changed the boat over to leds. What part numbers are you using for your leds in your cub?
