This will not be a show tractor, but a working tractor. I am using a 12 hp out of a 128 for power. Since the tractor is 2 inches higher than stock, I made the track wider for more stability. It is 40 inches wide from outside of rear wheels. This may cause my turning plow to be too far from the right side wheel. I may have to modify a plow/hitch set up to get the plow off center and in the right position when I run the right wheel in the furrow. I will fill the tires with fluid, but I will have to get creative to come up with some more wheel weight, as the standard IH 12" wheel weights will not fit these 14" rear wheels.

Sure is purdy, reminds me of the old Case garden tractor color scheme.

What did you have to do to run the larger tires? I'm assuming you had to do something with the gearing...

Nice work!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
