My new 149
Hey guys its been awhile since I have been on. My phone was junk and no time cause of work, but I'm back. Just picked up this 149 last night for $350! Came with a mower, and a blower. Will my snow plow from narrow frame go on this machine or would I have to widen the plow frame? Still have not found the gears for my narrow frame hydraulic lift and hate paying someone to plow my driveway! Especially when the guy gets stuck every time, and I end up having to go pull him out.

Hey Doug! Great to hear from you once again on the forum. Nice lookin' 149 (except that hideous seat) and thrower for a right price! I'm confused on why you want to put your NF thrower on your WF 149 when you just got a thrower with your 149 that should fit it. Mount that thrower on there and give it some work!

I believe the OP was wanting to mount his narrow frame snow plow (blade) to his 149. Have a great day.

I believe you need a mounting bracket for a wide frame and a different bracket on the plow where the lift arm hooks in .The plow itself will work but the mounting frame under tractor is different .

It runs and drives like a new machine! Going to put the ags, weights and chains on today. The hydro-lift works as it should. I had been looking for another hydrastativc drive since I sold the 105 for pulling tiller. I also made a deal and got a moldbord plow and set of discs. Building a garage in spring and going to fix both the 102 and the 124, would like to have a different tractor for all the different implements.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
