Small Engine Show/Swap Meet in Portland, Indiana - Aug 24-27
Hey everyone. I've been feeling quite ill, so I finally got enough strength to get to posting this. I doubt I will feel well enough to attend this year, but maybe this will help others out on finding some great deals and good times! Have fun and watch out for rogue golf carts if you go!

I concur!
And don't forget to take your BOOTS, because if it rains, and rains hard, you WILL need them, believe me! Aisles are narrow and those damn golf carts are a menace. Ya can't hear 'em sneaking up on you |

Went to the show today and picked up some tools in the swap meet area. Weather was great. Not raining and not blazing hot. Lots of folks in the swap meet were packing up and getting ready to head out this afternoon.
The coolest thing I saw there was a Minneapolis Moline US Navy tractor with a belly mounted electromagnet. Found this picture online but couldn’t find any other info.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
