1811 snowblower/qa36
WOW this must have been a tough one! lots of lookers but no replys. I did alot of checking old post and it looked as though there was a lot of conflicting answers so i pulled the 44c deck and mule off and did my own research and in this situation it looks as though every thing is going to work out fine Thanks for the input though!

I think you need to change the pully on the snow thrower? Matt G. has done this I would send him a message. I think he has been busy and probably missed your post.

YES...... it can be done. You will have to change the Snowthrower Drive Pulley to a 5/8" and maybe the Upper Mount Links. You can refer to snowthrower QA36B for the proper parts.

YES, it can be made to fit. I used to run a qa42a blower on my 1806 and 1211. You will have to find a 5/8 pulley. And in order to lift it up high enough, you will have to make some curved upper arms. The straight one hit the bottom of the tractor frame and nose piece. I just raised mine as far as it would go with the straight arms, then took a piece of cardboard and cut some curved templates out. Making sure the did not hit anywhere. Then plasma/laser cut some out.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
