Default Kohler single comand in 104

Thinking about installing a kohler comand single 13 hp in a 104 cadet with a creeper. Any advice for or against ? Just thought it would be different. Had a empty chassis and a cub cadet 2130 so y not kill one to save the other

Welcome to OCC!

I see you put this in the "pullers" section. Are you using this for pulling?

Without MAJOR frame mods, it won't fit. Biggest issue I see is the center line on the crank is much higher on the CH motor, than on the K. 4.75" as opposed to 5.250" (Those numbers may not be exact, but are close. The CH is a metric motor.)

Pull the creeper and sell it. You don't need it for pulling.

What's wrong with the K series? They are about the best motor out there. Lot's of HP stored away to pull from that motor.

I always thought one of those single cylinder diesel motors would be a cool installation.

Wink

Diesel definitely would be a cool tractor. I'm just trying to have some fun making a stock tractor and push the potential a little bit. It's not cheating unless u get caught lol

No one here has been able to put one of those diesels in and make it fit...... yet.
I wouldn't use one, because they are not going to be easy to turn up to pull with.

If your going to pull it, build a K series. They are where it's at.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
