I'm hooked!
I bought a CC123 a couple weeks ago. She's in good shape and runs real nice. It came with a QA-36 snowblower, a model 1 tiller and a 42"deck all for $1400. Everything works. I don't think I got a monster deal, but a fair one. The only thing I haven't used so far is the snowblower (of course I'm fine with waiting with that one).
I'm fixing up the small things here and there and found this site very helpful for resources, tips and manuals. Thanks! |

The steering column is out right now for a rebuild, but when it's back up, I'll have some pics in action for sure!

Steer Column
Where did you send the steering box to be rebuilt? And what part of WI are you in? I'm from approx. 40 min. north of Green Bay. Brian

My wife went crazy on the pics. I think she had as much fun watching as I did digging!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
