Default 2182 and RZT 54 owner in Alberta

Hey all,

I just bought an acreage and in the process acquired (from the previous homeowners) a 2008 RZT 54 with the 25 HP Kawasaki, as well as a 1992 2182 Super Garden Tractor with a 46" deck with bagger, QA42A Snow Thrower, and a Kwik-Way loader with bucket.

I was searching for some information on the 2182 and found this forum, and since it needs some general maintenance and I want to bring it back to it's former glory, I figured this was a good place to be.

I put the loader and wheel weights on the 2182 a week ago, it's a fine machine but needs some TLC. I've attached a photo of what it looks like now. Just 1,180 hours on it.

I've already had to change the hydro belt on the RZT because it was almost unusable, wow did the manual ever omit some steps!

I'm near Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

Welcome aboard, you'll find more uses for that loader tractor, than a pocket on a shirt!

Yep, I already have been using it like crazy! We had a skid steer around my parents' acreage growing up, but a little loader tractor is a lot more useful day-to-day and a lot less clumsy. It's a shame the loader was sitting in the weather for several years, but I'll get it cleaned up nice.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
