Strange Cub 127 Engine Issue
My cub seems to be running fine. However, when you drive over rough terrain or just shake the tractor the motor stumbles and starts to backfire. I took the carb apart and rebuilt it, and swapped out the coil. Neither change made an difference. Has anybody encountered this issue? It seems to be ignition related.
Are there any fail safe cut off switches I need to look for? Thanks.

I have wiggled every wire, and made sure there was enough gas in the tank. The motor idles fine, and doesn't exhibit the rough running issues at idle. The issue is only at 1/4 throttle and up.

It's probably the float setting.

Before you check the float setting,
wiggle the wire where it goes into the condenser. Also check the engine ground wire. |

I adjusted the float and the tractor works worlds better. However, after running it for about an hour or so it cut out. Now it won't start, even on starter fluid. It has spark. I'm guessing the spark is weak. Could the coil be failing, and only showing symptoms when hot?

It appears that the battery is weak, and the tractor flooded out. I'm not sure why it stalled though.

Do you have sediment in the fuel tank or is your filter new and clean?
