Default Wide Frame Brinly Spring Assist Question

Hello guys,

I have been a lurker here for a while, I love the site...I have a 1200 that I am looking to fix up and install a sleeve hitch on. I have a hitch from a 149 that I bought off a friend and I have read about the IH spring assist (which I am going to buy) and the Brinly spring assist(I'd like both, for furrow plow that I want and tiller that I have). I haven't been able to find any pictures or evidence of a wide frame Brinly Spring Assist.

1 Did Brinly make a wide frame spring assist?
2 Are the brinly spring assist's the same between wide and narrow frames?
3 If there is such a thing as a wide frame Brinly spring assist are they significantly more rare than a narrow frame? I can see narrow brinly spring assists for sale occasionally on sites.

thanks guys

Vince

I have a 1000 that I used since the mid 1980's at a neighbor's house to mow their lawn. They gave me the tractor in the early 1990's. In 2013 I picked up a package deal that included a Brinley BB-360 box scraper. I didn't have a problem lifting the deck but that scraper gets HEAVY when you use it all day.

I picked up a wide frame spring assist for my 1000 and I don't know how I used the scraper without it. I couldn't imagine lifting a tiller without one.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
