Cub Cadet 7205 Glow Plug Problem

I've been having trouble starting my 7205 with 3 cyl diesel, I changed my glow plugs but still having trouble. It has the 3 position ignition switch, 1st click is to activate glow plugs , 2nd position start. I turn the key to 1st position and the glow plug dash light comes on but for only a couple seconds and goes out. I looked and there are two parts to the system , the controller and the relay. Any thoughts which one is the culprit ? Neither part is inexpensive but the cold weather is coming and I need the tractor to start. Thanks.

If it is a cycle time issue, it is likely the controller.
Put a test light or meter on the glow plugs and cycle them. If they are getting power, the relay is fine. The timer should have some sort of temp sensor it is connected to. Either in the intake, internal or in the coolant. It is also possible that the temp sensor is not working. I do not know how that system is set up. Best bet if you don't know: Consult the dealer or service manual.
