Default Estate sale finds, a 100 and a sickle bar mower

I was actually looking at Vintage stereo equipment they had and these were there in the barn.
The 100 has not nun in 8 years, the mower deck is a 42". It has nice fenders.
The sickle bar mower was bought with the 100 when new, it is a 402A and is complete. They got a little wet today and so did I.
I got the manuals and also picked up a lighted amp meter for $1.
All in all a good day in cub land...

Thanks Martin, I also got the manual for the mower and a new cutter bar also.

The PO's son was there and told me they used it to cut the 2 acres of hay on the property.
Cleaned up the edges with a hand scythe, there were two in the barn. Then they put it in a hay wagon and brought it to his friends house who had horsies to feed.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
