Im currently a student at ISU in Ames and in my free time I work on my 24 Cub Cadets, ranging from an Original to a 1650. Feel free to contact me. I love to yak about old Cubs and I have a little knowledge on some stuff, but absolutely don't know everything. Hope to hear from some experienced Cub Cadet collectors! Thanks! |

Thank you for the welcome. I have a few pictures here...one is from this summer, and it has 16 of the 24 shown. Another pic is a before shot of my 70...and another is an after shot of it with a new coat of paint.
The models I currently have are: (4) Originals 70 (3)100 71 (2) 102 (2) 122 123 (2) 105 125 107 126 109 128 129 1450 1650 The 70 is the only one I have repainted, and several have some options like rear pto, hydro lift, cabs, blades, blowers, sleeve hitches, etc. They are fun little tractors to use! |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
