my grandpas first furrow in about 40 years

My first video post attempt, Grandpa in the furrow,

Second video post: A bad video I took of plowing on the 1650. sorry about the changing orientations and the shakyness, but its hard to plow with a hydro and take a video at the same time. TURN THE VOLUME DOWN IT IS VERY LOUD!!

more to come!

Gary, and Grandpa's 149, try out my tractor balance. an old work bench with a fence post bolted underneath. It works!!

not as much as we plowed last year, but still a fair bit

By this time it was about 6:00, so we headed to the garage, where my mom had organized an awesome supper, burgers, salads, deserts, ice tea, and coffee. lots for everybody! we had supper in our garage, away from the mosquitoes.

Then i did a bit of stunting... this is only about half of it. it looks kinda easy, but im also steering the tractor with my foot, over extremely bumpy ground. dont try this at home kids!!

Then a group photo. I actually had a total of 20 people this year, but a few left before the picture. the bolens was on the truck before I got a chance to put it in the line. yes thats me, standing on the hood. im such a dork lol!

In 2009, I was homeschooled. my distance learning teacher was Jakes niece. that is her sitting beside Jake on his tractor. She has wanted to come see my cubs since I joined the old forum! she thought it was fantastic that I have a productive hobby that is so much fun, mature and constructive at my age.

More to come!

A few people left, as it was now about 7:30. the few that stayed wanted to do the slow races and the balance.

Gary vs. his son, Ben

And me being a dork.... again

Ben racing around on the BOSS!

Then the left end of the muffler on the 782 blew out when the choke stuck closed. I like this...

My dad on the case 220 vs. ben on the BOSS

My mom and Mrs. Smith, discussing the beauty and lustre of my gorgeous 782. yes, they are jealous. lol

Jack on the balance with a 149

Gary vs. Jack

More coming!

My dad on the balance with the 782

yes, that grass is green. I cut it for the first time this year, that morning (May 22) looks good eh? not bad for a 35 year old mower...
More people havin fun

Me "surfing" on the 128, ben is pretending to hang off my arm lol

Left to right, Isabel (Jake's niece) Jake, Me, Rae (Jake's wife) prop: Jakes restored 100. it has lights, fenders, spring assist, and rear lift.

I never ever imagined my best friend would be senior, and our common interest being old garden tractors. I want to thank everyone on this forum for helping make this friendship, and this event, possible. I hope this inspires other people to host their own plowdays. please comment! thanks for looking!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
