Alabama Plow Day Pics
Went to the Alabama Plow Day yesterday. It was hosted by some guys from the WFM site.
I had an absolutely fantastic time from start to finish. The drive to and from Arab, AL was very pleasant, and the scenery was nice because we were not on the interstate the whole trip. The field and the layout could not have been much better. There was just one very small spot the was a little damp in the morning, but everything was perfect by noon. I did have a very embarrassing moment when the 782 died at the start of the parade lap. It took several of us to push it out of the row so others could pass. I'm quite certain that the incident made the day for all of the JD guys that were there! Boy, did I ever get an earful!!! Just took a few minutes to resolve the issue, and I was back in the seat to try and salvage some dignity! I got a good laugh out of it... It was just an all-around great time. Everyone was super nice to me even though I was riding a RED tractor. Fortunately, there were a couple of other Cubs there to keep the peace. -lol Thanks again to Drew and Stewart from WFM for hosting such a great event. I look forward to going back in the fall. http://s1111.photobucket.com/albums/...view=slideshow Warning!!! The photo bucket link has LOTS of green pics!!! Be prepared to shield your eyes! |

Good job on the pictures Steve, looks like you had a blast. You were sadly outnumbered by the Green guys, we're gonna have to do something about that!

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
