Default Getting at 2165

Plan on picking up a 2165 with a 2 stage blower today, couldn't beat the price, it's all there and it runs, just needs some elbow grease. Photos to come, I just hope I can drag the trailer out of the 16" of snow in the back yard... photos to come.

Well 3 1/2 hour trip and $150 later I have a new cub cadet at the house. I was actually able to start it up and drive it onto the trailer! She's a little rough around the edges but it was a good buy. Came with the 2 stage blower, 48" deck, a set of wheel weights that I don't think go to the tractor, and the front bumper for when the blower will be taken off. Good running 16hp vanguard. It does need some stuff though.

Needs the headlights/bulb/wire assembly. The front tires are smoother than a babies ass. The lift for the blower is faulty somewhere, it only lifts maybe 2" at max. Needs some plastic pieces for under the dash. Needs a good cleaning all the way around. Something was also up with the blower. One of the sides didn't not like to move on the tines. Not sure about what else needs to be addressed, it was dark and it moved on its own so I was happy to pay the man.

Well...you have another project to play with. Have fun...if it turns out to be a junker you could always part it out and get your money back.

The auger than is not spinning properly may have a bad shear pin.

Thanks for the information, truly if there was an easy way to put that blower on my 127 I would part it out.

I get it! I always struggled mounting that QA42-A on a tractor. Finally, I mounted it to an old beater 1450...it stays on year round. Like the Ronco man says..."Just set it and forget it"!

This may just be my snow blower tractor, I have a tiller tractor and a mower so that's not a worry.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
