The 1772 had the Kubota D640-B Engine in it.
You might have to go and purchase the Engine Parts Manual 97897-00782, to find the part number (other than Cub Cadet) and then do an Internet Search.

I had one like that on one of my 1572's. You will need to remove the assembly and replace the bearings. Pretty easy job. I'll see if I can find the bearing numbers for you. I also have some pics but they won't upload.

The parts lookup shows "756-3032 Pulley, V-Idler, 3.06 OD" and like you said... NLA.
