105 Bogs down after long usage
I've been using my 105 to mow my lawn for a couple months now. After I've been mowing for about 1.5 hours, the engine seems like it starts to bog down.
I 'll be driving along slowly, then all of the sudden the engine sounds like it is under heavy load and the tractor slows down. It did this enough once to where the rear tires briefly locked up. I thought the mower deck may just be clogged, but when I disengaged the PTO and the same thing happens. I do think it gets very hot when this is happening, the hood is almost too hot to touch over the engine. Could this be over heating? Cooling fins and everything around the motor looks pretty clear.

Generally if it's an electrical problem the tractor will shut off completely so I'm leaning towards a fuel issue or possibly a sticky valve. If it's running hot it's either lean or the blower housing is full of mouse nest or possibly both. If it's been getting that hot I would bet the head gasket is also blown.
Some might disagree but if it were mine I would remove the head and resurface it, while the head is off you will be able to inspect the valves and remove/clean them if necessary. While the head is off you will also be able to confirm the blower housing is free of any mouse nest. I would also confirm good fuel flow from the line and clean the carb.
