Built a bracket to hold weight and also new tires!!!
Got to work a half day today so I decided to play with my welder. I'm a horrible welder and have a crappy Harbor freight flux core welder so it isn't that pretty. The whole thing is made with 1/8" x 1-1/2" angle. It mounts using the sleeve hitch bracket and a bolt through the hitch (need to get a shorter bolt though.)
If it holds up through this winter I'll paint it up. Also my new 6-12 tires on trailer rims that I got for $100 on epay. Just painted them IH white today so they match the rest of the tractor. My old ags should be sold today so I'm only in these about $50. They are brand new still have the nibs on them.

Looks good to me and the welds look just fine. Any weld that holds up is a good weld, it's not all about the pretty.

The turfs are loaded and I could not make it up the 35-40degree Hill that goes down to where my garden is no matter what speed or angle I tried to hit it at with the turfs. I could with the ags though. With this bucket full of concrete on the back it walks right up it.

Looks good....Paint it!!
While you are at it add a coupe diagonal braces from the rear corners up to the top of your frame for added support and rigidity. The bucket of weight sitting and bouncing around out there puts a lot of stress on those dinky 3/8"bolts. You will be glad you did!! Dave |

I had a 6' stick of the angle left over from another project. I'll have to get a piece of flat stock and run it up to the frame. I was thinking the same thing while I was driving it around.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
