Good Morning OCC
Hi Folks
I just last joined night and thought I would say Hi this morning and thanks for having me in your group. I have been checking out a few forums and was very impressed with this one. It seems filled with great information and a great group of people. I love the fact that not only are the elders here and sharing their wisdom but there is a large number of young adults here to carry on the tradition, because I know my cubs will outlast me. I have been tinkering with all brands of garden tractors for a few years now but this year I discovered the older Cub Cadets. WOW!, was I impressed. I now have 2 of them that I'm redoing, a 124 that will wear a mower deck full time, and a 122 that will be set up for any other impliments. I do have some questions that will come later, but for now I am looking foward to meeting and getting to know folks. Thanks Tom |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
