Default All I Needed Was An Excuse

It snowed here yesterday, snow storm to be more accurate (can you believe it?) but never enough to use my blade but I finally got my pipe run so I had an excuse actually use the 1872. I also have a C-60 Haban deck for this that I mowed with for the first time last week and I tell ya what a joy! My only experience was a POS LT1050 that doesn't like hills at all.

BTW as soon as I can afford it I'm changing these Super Lugs (not!) out for the Tru-Powers that I have on my 982, no comparison.

Aren't real tractors fun? I was out doing the same thing last evening with my super. Only I was putting all the gravel back in the drive that got piled up moving snow. You can see part of it in the following pic. You've got a different blade than I do. I believe mine is the Haban 54". It's a heavy bugger. It's amazing how much easier the hydaulic blade is to use. Moving gravel was a breeze. Just drive on top of it. Lower the blade and hold the lever down and back up. I pulled it away from my rock wall with the back of the blade no problem. You decide to get rid of the super lugs let me know. Super lugs are better than no lugs for me.
Blade and gravel pic. Sorry no action shots.

Blade about to be installed.

Yes you have a Haban and know that the last one I bid on with NO power angle went for $460. Yours with the power should catch $500 to $600.

Man, there was a 1782 in yesterday's Craig's list with no engine. Now it's gone.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
