Exclamation Reproduction Firestone Rear Ag's

Just got off the phone with Bev at Miller tire. She said they are going to be bringing back the Firestone ag tire in 23/10.5x12..(reproduction)

Cost will be $125 per tire. If you call and pre order by 30 APR 10 you will get free shipping. The arrival date is going to be approx mid-May

use the code: weekend freedom special

I should be ordering a set in a few weeks. They are still waiting to hear if they will also release other sizes.

23-10.50-12? That's interesting, because Firestone never made that size, to my knowledge, just 6-12, 23-8.50-12, and 26-12-12.

Now, if I only had $250 to spare...hehe

I bet, they will be sharp looking! The Firestones always had a nice look to them.

I agree, the Firestone garden tractor tires are a bit high in the price dept. I think the wide tri ribs are to high for what they are. My 125 has a pair of well worn 8.50 Firestones on the rear, will probably put 8.50 Carslile's on it when the time comes. $250 bucks for rear ag tires is getting out of line in my book. Garden tractor tires shouldnt cost more than tires for a car. If they are repros, are they going to have Firestone on them? I will wait and see if they decide to offer the 8.50 size, either from Millers or direct from Firestone. I do like the looks of them the best, just not the high cost. Cheers Mikie

From what I was told they will be the exact same tire. They are not being made by Firestone, but rather by another company. The Firestone tri's I have came with a Made in Vietnam sticker on them but the tires still say made in the USA. As far as the cost...I look at it as a 1 time deal, not likely to wear them out..

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
