K241A Exhaust Port Tap size.
Need the tap size for a K241 10hp Kohler. Measures 1.125 best I can tell. So I believe that's a 1 inch NPT tap just wanted someone to back me up on that! I have to order one.

Not positive of size, however you probably should not use a tap. I would buy a thread chaser. Thread chasers are flatter on the tip and you dont need to run them as deep as a tap would have to go since it's not tapered.

The exhaust ports I've encountered are a tapered pipe thread.
IIRR it should be a 1" NPT. You might have to shorten the tap a bit on the grinder if it bottoms out before you clean up the threads.( don't turn the tap blue) keep it cool. Epay is yer friend as you don't want to "buy" a pipe tap new, or borrow one from a friend. (and if you borrow one don't shorten it) Ha,LOL! lube it and turn, stop, back out 1/2 turn and proceed again. The port is rusted/and has carbon in it as you know. Not rocket science |

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
