Default newbie from Pa

Greetings all

I am from Selinsgrove PA, and recently was told about this site. I was told it was a good place for information as well

I was always a green/yellow man myself. but over the past two years I have had two cubs I got and fixed up a bit. The first cub I had was a 15hp 2000 series I picked up for $300.00

It needed some work, ended up getting it running with about $170 invested in it, resold it for $800

That was a nice tractor, but a bit too "modern"

I just purchased a 1541 cub, that I am working on. Its a 1990 and has more of a tractor feel to it.

It will need some work here and there but I honestly think I will hang onto this one for awhile, I kinda like it

Anyhow just wanted to say a few words, now I am off to see what is all posted

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
