Wide frame engine removal/install
I have removed and replaced engines in wide frames before. I have always removed the engine and cradle together, unlike the manual, which shows removing the engine and leaving the cradle/iso mounts bolted to the frame.
My question is, if I lift the front of the tractor off the ground, does the front axle have enough swing to access the engine mounting bolts, or should I stick with wrestling the engine/cradle back into the frame as a unit? Doing it this way is a PITA to get the rear iso mounts installed...

Yes, that works. I just pulled the engine out of my 1450 that way a couple weeks ago. The worst part is trying to get the bolts started straight going back in.
