Default 1772 Diesel Gear Transmission Project.

Hi Guys,

Georg is back. After a long Time at Work for my new House, yesterday, i started my new Project. I want to install a Shifter Transmission, and a bigger Kubota Diesel into my 1772.

The Hydro Trans of the 1772 was damaged, and the Power steering was not working.

So i want to make a 1772 shifter, with Hydraulikpump at the Kubota Motor, and the Gear Housing will be the Tank for the Hydraulic Fluid = Hy Tran Fluid.

For this Project, first i purchased a used Farmall Cub Transmission, to fit it in the Frame.
After open the Transmission, i saw some Rust Damage, some Toothwheels and the Differential Toothwheel are rusty.

Parted out the Cast Aluminium Transmission of the 1771, to change the Differential Housing,

mfg Georg

That's very cool George. You read my mind about making a gear drive diesel. Great idea. I like the idea also of the motor mounted pump to still run the power steering and lift. You have any plans for the rear pto?

Yesterday, i removed the Gear Rings of both Differential Carriers, to change it, but the Part i need is rusty.
So i purchased some Parts in the US Ebay, and i'm waiting for the Postman.

The PTO at the Cub Cadet were a cool Gimmick, but i don't have the right Main Shaft for the Transmission,

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
