Default Need help installing XMW 3-pt plus reinforcement plates

Hey guys, working on my 2084 again. I bought the Full Monte setup from Xtreme -
SGT 3-pt Modified
Axle/frame brace
Draw bar and locks
2" Hitch receiver
- and I'm trying to get it installed. The bolt kit didn't come with the braces so waiting on that. In the meantime, I started fitting it up to see what I could get done.

I am trying to determine how these pieces fit together. The front lower ears of the 3-point rear cap go to the rear lower bolt of the axle housings, at about the 7 O'clock position. That's a 3/8" bolt, but that hole is closer to 1/2". In order to use that I would have to spread those "ears" out a bit. Then, the frame reinforcements also use that bolt. Do those rear cap ears go over the reinforcement plates?
At the front mount, there are two rectangular plates. Do these mount inside or outside the frame? And then do the reinforcement plates bolt to the inside or outside of those?
I have looked at photos on the forum and a few other places and cannot tell what others are doing. I also see the front plates mounted both ways.

My best guess is the front plates bolt to the outside, the reinforcement plates need to be in the same plane as the axle tube bolt circle. If so, the 3-pt extensions would have to be bent out to mount over the reinforcement plates. Even so, why are the holes so big?

There really should be some instructions available on the site or in the box. The OE 3-pt mounting instructions are incomplete for this purpose, and there are no instructions at all for the reinforcement plates.

Maybe I'm missing something?

Looks like your missing the instructions! Give the seller a call maybe he has them or can walk you through the installation process.

The front Mounting Hole circled In red is how far forward the rocker shaft Plate has to be Moved forward so that Bolt that goes through that front Hole also goes through the 3 point Rocker shaft bracket

Some More Pictures

BTW the Manuals for the OEM 3point which is what Xtreme Provides are a Bit Different then what He Manufacturers

You will need some sealant such a Permatex 2 or Permatex 3 for the axle Carrier Bolts you have to Take out otherwise it will leak

The 2inch received will interfere with the cross/sway chains he offers You may want to Buy Longer chains to keep the receiver hitch mounted. I took my receiver hitch off and Put the tow hitch Back when I used the Cat 0 Arms for Plowing the Garden up In September.

I'll be using a Cat 1 work saver rear Blade this year for snow removal instead of the 450 Blower as I already have a Blower On My John Deere X748 and a Front Loader mounted Blade On My JD 2025R compact . But the rear Blade is great for moving snow away from the Garage doors

I wondered about that. If I had it to do over I'd probably have got one of those A-frame w/receivers and skipped the draw bar. I'd be money ahead

As for the Cat 1, I only have a single Cat 0 implement, and that is a rear blade. For my needs I have not found another implement that I can use.

I'll just be dragging dirt with the blade, and towing trailers.
We don't have snow here enough to need to move it.

Default the solution

CubdieselFan those photos helped thanks! Higher resolution would be even better.

So I finally got Aaron on the phone. Turns out it goes together like so:

The Cat 0 rear plate installs first, with the forward extension ears over the 7:00 bolt hole. Then the reinforcement plates are installed over that. The hardware kit comes with spacers for all 8 holes to locate the reinforcement arm as well as 2 bushings to fill the space between the 1/2 hole and the 3/8 bolts that go into the banjo. At least that is what I expect when the hardware kit arrives.

Posted for whoever runs into this in the future.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
