Hi,
Another question on the original SPEAKER 143 Taillights, how long are they? I know the aftermarket DIETZ and GROTE doen't cover the original holes/hole but what photos I can see of the original SPEAKER 143 looks like I may still see a hole ? Did they not fully cover the holes, just the reflectors did? Thanks! |

Hi, I searched down a photo of a 126 with the org SPEAKER 143 taillight. Looks like they did not cover the org holes in the rear fenders. Just found it odd? Is that the way they all were till the next model cub cadet with the larger taillights? Thanks

I put some chrome door edge on mine to cover the holes.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
