Couple questions

Is creeper drive slower that the regular gears or is it half gears. Is creeper something you can switch will you are driveing or do you have to have the clutch pushed in.

It more ornless just splits the gears I'm not sure of the exact ratio but third gear in low is slower then first in high. And yess you want to come to a complete stop before shifting

I don't own a creeper,but the way I understand it,when you put the creeper in low,it gives you a 4:1 gear reduction. I would think you could only shift the creeper with the tractor stopped and the clutch pedal pushed in.

Yes, a creeper in low and 3rd gear is slower than 1st gear with the creeper in high. From what I have read on this forum, i have gathered that a creeper is beneficial only when you are using a tiller or snow thrower. The creeper helps you slow your ground speed and not let the tiller push the tractor. It also creates several more points that have the potential to break. This is why pullers do not use a factory creeper. MWSC has a 2 speed setup that looks pretty beefy, but I do not know if you can shift that on the fly either. I have not purchased anything from them but I hear their clutch setup is pretty stout. My guess is that most pullers just change the gear ratio in their transaxle. Hope this info helps. I am not an expert puller, just do a lot of reading online about beefing up my work tractors.

you can't shift on the fly with them. in low all speeds are slower than 1st hi. so for pulling its useless. Now Super Cub makes a hi lo gear box that drops half gears. can't shift that on the fly either.
