Default 1882 Help with Blade

First let me apologize as I am a novice in this site. I have been reviewing the site and trying to find a few answers regarding my tractor.

I have a SGT 1882 (60" deck with leaf pick up and Haban blade)

Question: My blade has the hydro power angle but the tractor does not have front hydro hook ups. Is this something you can add? and if so where? Is it a tough install?

Do they make a manual angle arm for this blade (54 Haban)?

Thank you for any information you can lend.

This is a extremely useful site.

You can add a hydraulic dual outlet up front, but you will have to find and purchase a dual lever valve setup to replace the single lever you have now. Also you will have to buy or have some hoses and connections made to run along the frame to the front and mount them. All in all, it might be better to find a manual 54" blade that you can adjust by hand and sell the hydraulic blade. I know xtrememotorworks.com has a 42", 54", and a 60" blade that you could mount to your under carriage that you have with the hyrdaulic blade for @ $450. Or you can sell the Super, and buy another super that has the front outlets already there. Sorry I'm not much more help. Someone else may have a better idea.

Actually the 'cyclops' tractors are different in that the valve bodies are stackable, so you need another single hydraulic valve (easy to find) and a bunch of other stuff that may or may not be easy to find. The service manual for the 1882 should detail the process, which would give you an idea of what is needed.

Ah, didn't know those were stacked. Something else I have learned.

Matt, I also have the same question (I have a 2086 with the front ports) but no handle and was wondering the same, I can see the lines coming to where the second handle would be but isn't there, any info would be great. Sorry for Hi-jacking Reefmac post.

The front hyd setup for the Cyclops tractors is a hard find valves. They went NLA last year. Used ones are out there, and the tractors with them on are few and far between, so parts are not to easy to find. When I wanted to install a setup, the parts at that time, which was only about half was $750.00

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
