Heard talk that the XT3 might be on the chopping block. Shame, since this is the only Garden Tractor built by them that even remotely has shades of the past durability and quality Cub Cadet was famous for.

That explains why Dewalt now makes gas lawn and garden equipment. Probably the same as Cub Cadet equipment with different decals. They are the same color after all.

2022 Is supposed to Be the Last Model Year for Shaft driven XT3 series
The XT2 GX 54 D with Be the Top of the Line Cub Cadet I am Hoping since there Not Making the XT3 anymore that they will come Out with a Bit Better Belt driven GT with the electronic Power steering and some type of Power Lift to control attachments Like the front Mounted Dozer Blade Belts actually transfer Horsepower more efficiently than shafts But Belt do ware and Have to Be replaced Maybe every 10 years or so They Can loose the Horsepower advantage over time But once You replace that Belt You Back In Business. A shaft You May never Have to replace In Your lifetime But there Not as efficient at Transferring Horsepower as a Belt In 2018 Stanley Paid 200 Million to MTD for a two seats On the Board of directors with the Intention to Buy MTD 3 Years Later and Both companies decided that it was a Good fit for MTD & Stanley( what it really Boiled down to the Current MTD CEO children didn't want to Take over the family Business) Stanley wants to Push the electric Mowers The Stanly Zero turns are Just re-labeled Cub Cadet Commercial Zero turns

Also going to miss the Kohler Command engines that were available in the XT3. They had a very long and good history with Cub Cadet.

Who Knows Maybe they'll Put a Vertical Command Pro In some of the Belt driven Tractors
In Europe since the Enduro series was Introduced the XT3 In Europe was a US XT2 GX 54 D or and XT2 GX50

The accountants will decide which are the best mowers for you and me whether you like it or not
You can be assured the mower you buy will be the most profitable for the company who cares if it cannot cut grass Oz

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
