NON-fan assist triple bagger
Mine works fairly well with a 46" deck.
Does anyone have experience using one with a GT 54" deck? I have a 54" deck with gator blades, it seem to move a lot of air. Thanks, Ike |

I do not think it will work with a 54". Most that I have seen use high lift blades, not gader blades.

Yes, the 46" deck works well with the bagger. The 54" does move a lot of air but I'm not sure it's at the same velocity as the 46".
Must have been a reason the bagger was only available on the 46" Cyclops, don' t you think? |

Have a 3 bagger on my 54"fab deck.
Works pretty good using the OEM blades, but you have to take it easy or it will plug at the deck outlet. I think keeping the inside of the deck to chute transition clean and smooth may help some of the plugging issues. Sure don't take long to fill it just doing leaves!! |

What kind of rig are you talking about here? Is it a newer Cub or is it an older cyclops? Newer Cubs are all designed to use bagger on whichever deck you want. I've got a GT 46 deck and a GT 54 deck. I could put the bagger on the 54 inch deck if I wanted because I have a fantasist. The GT 46 deck works very well for the bagger

I have the bagger on an 1863 with a 46" deck.
I mow with a Cyclops with a 54” deck. Recently put gator blades on it. They seem to move more air than the OEM blades. So, I thought if the bagger will work on it I could thin the herd a little. Not common around here either, it was by chance that I came across this one when I bought some other cub parts many years ago. Then I didn't have the right deck until I bought my 1st 1864

I'll snap a picture of the fan assist tomorrow. It's not mounted on a deck, but I'll hold it up to a GT 54 deck and you can see it. I think Oak has one set up on a 3k series which would be the same setup.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
