Default Please help! 42" Mowing Deck front hanger issue!

After mowing all summer with no issues, smelled hot and turned off the 108 and could not believe what I saw. Looks like pulley came completely off while the nut stayed on?! look what the belt did to the pin!
Question: where can I get the part number replacement for a new pulley and mounting pulley pin? I need to get back in business as soon as possible?
42 inch deck
BIG THANKS!

Wow! Can't say I've seen that happen before. It's amazing the belt stayed on, it ate through the bolt, and it didn't smell before now. That's one for the books, right there.

i can't believe the mower still worked as well. the belt is frayed bad and is toast. I need to know what part number the pulley pin is and what size 3/8"pulley I need.
I have nothing to go by.

http://www.partstree.com/parts/?lc=c...&dn=0072400001

Pulley: IH-61176-C92 $22.34

Idler Pivot Shaft: IH-59683-C1 $26.81

Belt: IH-59971-C1 $31.92

That should get you started. There are cheaper options out there so feel free to check into them. McMaster Carr is a good one for the pulley, I'm not sure about the bolt/pulley shaft, and you might be able to make get a good belt locally from Napa, etc but YMMV on the belt.

I buy my pulleys from a local bearing supply store for far less than 22 bucks.

thank you both for help. SO Maybe if I take this into a bearing shop they will just close match it? I will try. Just came back from local cadet dealer-the parts gal is NOT fun to deal with-she said "why are you still using this old mower anyways"
very grouchy she had to look up an IH number

she said part IH-493164-r91 is what she THINKS i need but no longer available
Jim the part numbers you showed me were for 44 inch deck mine is 42-wonder if that makes a big
difference.??

That is TOTAL BULL "CRAP"... take the good pulley back there and tell her to measure it and then look it up to see what it crosses with.

The people at our local bearing house hardly ever even ask what it's for, they find the number on the old one (or measure it) look it up, give me a price and tell me how long it will take to get it.

And they are courteous and polite!

Take the good one back there and tell her that I (Yosemite Sam) said get off your ass and find a cross for it!

I think you have the wrong parts call out. Pretty sure this is the correct one.

That said, take the good pulley and the old belt to your local Tractor supply they can match up the pulley and the belt for you. Then all you need is a 3/8" bolt and your back in biz. I'd probably change both pulleys. Probably about $45- $50 for everything.

Doh! You're right. IDK where my mind was, guess that's what I get for multitasking at work

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
