Default Gasket between air filter housing and carb

I have been having some issues keeping my 129 running it seems to shut off during operation at random times..it seems usually to happen with sharp turns or hitting bumps...but I am not certain. Then I could not get it to fire up and stay running at all. So fresh gas first...same...checked and cleaned spark plug....same... So now I have pulled off and started cleaning the carburetor. It has obviously not been off in a very long time. I have been looking around at carb kits and in the pics I have seen I do not see a gasket for between the air filter housing and the carb. Is there suppose to be a gasket here? The reason I ask is the fella I bought it from did a lot of Jerry rigging on somethings so it gives me pause to think. If it is suppose to be one here am I an idiot and overlooking in the rebuild kits or is it something separate?

Yes, it is supposed to have a gasket there.
You have to buy it separately.... usually. I can't recall any kits ever coming with one, but now days with so many people selling carb kits, I'm not going to say one doesn’t exist with the air filter horn gasket. I always buy them separately. But I order them in packs of 5 or 10.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
