Another new guy, again, with pictures.
Well hello again. I'm RJ from NW New Jersey. Having grown up in southern California this snow is a four letter word. I hope everyone out there is fine. I got only 6-8 inches, but what I'm used to is looking at snow on the mountains part of the year. OK all of you northern people have a chuckle. That's all I know. I don't know how to drive in snow. I barely know how to drive in rain. But to get to the point. I'm trying to include pictures of my cub. I also need some advice. My cub just stopped moving. It's a new 01/2011 SLT1054. Yeah I know now it's not a "Real" cub, but what did I know. I have seen some comments on this forum about this problem, but not quite what I have. I'm new here, and maybe this is posted in the wrong place. Administrator please help. Any way does anyone know if any heavier transaxles will work in my 1054. As far as I can tell the 1554 uses the same trans. Does anyone know what the largest lawn tractor MTD built is? As soon as you go to the 2000 series it is shaft drive. Help. Anyway pictures I hope you enjoy. Also I modified the front bumper as a weight bracket. The pictures show It installed with 50lbs. on it I have used up to 150lbs. while plowing snow.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
