Default PTO Problems
I own a Cub Cadet 2155 lawn tractor and am having problems with the PTO. When I pull the switch nothing happens, I checked the voltage at the PTO plug and it was 0.50 volts, this seemed very low. What should be the correct voltage going to PTO and if it's 12 volts can I put 12 volts from the battery to determine if the PTO is OK?
Also I have had the the starter switch fail, it will not activate the starter solenoid. I by-passed the switch and put a manual switch in the line so I could finish cutting the lawn. The PTO problem started shortly after I by-passed the starter switch but not at the same time. I am planing to replace the starter switch today but do you think it will solve my PTO problem.

There is a very good chance that will fix the PTO problem. Yes, you can feed the PTO 12V to test it. I suggest doing that with the motor off though.

Default PTO Problems
Thanks J-Mech replacing the ignition switch solved the problem. I must say I do not know how this solved the problem but I am very happy it did.
