Default Fan Assist Bagger

Cub Cadet Fan Assist baggers are hard to come by.
Here is an alternative that you may like.
Used it once so far and it worked well. Will get a workout this Fall.
May be easier to mount on a 44 or 50 inch deck.

I don't have a 44 deck to try mounting this on. If I get one I'll give it a try.

interesting. Did you buy the blower assembly new? Looks to be a simplicity blower. Please post a followup after more usage.

It is a Simplicity. I bought it used specifically to see if it could be adapted to work with my bagger. Had it and a Cub Cadet 1440 to tinker with over the Winter. I'll give an update after using it this Fall. I just picked up a 1641 with a 44 deck. The 1641 is a project for this Winter, may get to see how the Simplicity blower matches up to the 44 deck.
Take care, Ike

worked pretty good. Still may try in on a 44 deck.
It would mount further forward and have a better angle into the bagger.

Here is the Simplicity Turbo Blower mounted on a GT 48 inch deck. The 48 deck out let is further forward than the 46, This should give me a better angle on the hose going into the bagger.

In your second photo it looks like there is a fair amount of tension on that top pulley
Is that standard or correct ?

Could be the camera angle. The first photo shows the tension spring attached to an eye bolt. The tension can be adjusted there.
When this unit was on the 46-inch deck it didn't need a lot of tension to run it. When I mount it for picking up leaves this Fall, I'll make sure there is not excessive tension.

Have to work on the chute into the bagger this Spring.

Fair enough , those camera angles play havoc with my portrait photos

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.

MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
