Haban plow parts
Greetings,
This past summer I took possession of a 1882 that came with 50in deck, Haban plow, and leaf vac. This ole girl has been around the block like 2200 times or so. The PO said he had never had the plow on the tractor. Its winter so I figured I would pull the deck give it a look over, change oil etc and remembered the ole beast sitting in the corner. So I am going to attempt installing the plow. After getting acquainted with the plow and looking at the manual, I am missing part number 12772 item # 30 on parts list. If someone could post some good close up pics of this piece for fabrication duplication purposes, it would be appreciated. Also any tips to ease the installation process would be helpful, this thing is stupid heavy. Thanks |

I have had success and loss. I checked with the PO about the lever and he found it! Sucess! I also come to realize that I am missing the anchor plates #14300 in manual which he couldnt find. Loss! From what I can tell my 1882 is a 1990 model year and hoping someone could provide a drawing of sorts of the plates so I can make a set. I have read about a "new" style and "old" style but not sure what the difference is. Xtreme has a set but for 91 model year but I would rather just make them, just need measurements. If someone can help it would be appreciated.

I dont know how to post pics yet. I am going off the haban dozer blade manual here on this site which gives it part number #14300 and letter "N" on the diagram. I have seen sketches of haban anchor plates online but they look different than the ones in the manual so I am not sure if this is evidence of the "new style/old style" or what. Needless to say I am confused. I have a dedicated 782 plow tractor but if I were to score some appropriate anchor plates for the plow mount and some tire chains I could have his and hers plow tractors for next year.

Go to the Xtreme site
https://www.xtrememotorworks.com/Par...Cub-Cadet.html and buy this for your 1882. It is the rear end brace and it includes the Haban bracket.

Cub Cadet is a premium line of outdoor power equipment, established in 1961 as part of International Harvester. During the 1960s, IH initiated an entirely new line of lawn and garden equipment aimed at the owners rural homes with large yards and private gardens. There were a wide variety of Cub Cadet branded and after-market attachments available; including mowers, blades, snow blowers, front loaders, plows, carts, etc. Cub Cadet advertising at that time harped on their thorough testing by "boys - acknowledged by many as the world's worst destructive force!". Cub Cadets became known for their dependability and rugged construction.
MTD Products, Inc. of Cleveland, Ohio purchased the Cub Cadet brand from International Harvester in 1981. Cub Cadet was held as a wholly owned subsidiary for many years following this acquisition, which allowed them to operate independently. Recently, MTD has taken a more aggressive role and integrated Cub Cadet into its other lines of power equipment.
